Now Halvarssons term this fleece a mid layer, and although you could wear it on the bike under a jacket, we think it’s a bit thick for that. Personally, we think that this is the kind of jacket that you’re more likely, we feel, to wear when you’re off the bike. But however you decide to wear it, this is a very superior kind of fleece. It’s made from a synthetic material that is highly breathable yet has the soft handle of cotton. It’s knitted in a herringbone pattern, so it’s also a lot smarter than your average fleece. It’s going to do its job of insulating heat from the body very well indeed, but whether it’s wearable on the bike, well you’ll have to work that out for yourself
