The Mora is an upmarket version of Halvarssons’ other adventure jacket: the Oman. It is what we would term a proper off-road suit, in that it has a totally removable waterproof membrane. The removable inner jacket comprises a Dryway membrane that also incorporates Outlast. So whereas the Oman technically has three layers, the Mora has only two. And this makes sense because when you want protection from the rain the chances are you will also want to stay warm. The Mora has a DWR on the outer fabric for added impermeability. For when you’re riding in hot conditions, you get venting in the sleeves, on the chest and across the back. For protection, the Mora is lined in all the key areas with Hi-Art for added abrasion resistance. The shoulders and elbows are also protected with layers of Nubuck. The armour in the elbows and shoulders is Level 2. Up the side of the jacket are adjusters for fit. There are also adjusters for volume on the sleeves. Whilst, for comfort, there are stretch panels in the elbows and shoulders. You also get a removable neck warmer. We like the Mora. If you’re looking for a proper, high-end, off-road jacket a a reasonable price, this is it. It comes with a full length zip to attach to the matching Malung pant. And the Malung pant now comes in a regular and short length.
