Helstons Liberty Boots In Black

The Helstons Liberty boot sits somewhere between a trainer-style boot and a more robust work-style boot. The boot is made entirely from leather and, for added comfort, is calfskin lined. All this makes it a supremely comfortable boot both to walk around in, and to ride in. You get soft, energy-absorbing protectors in the ankles and a gearchange pad on the toe. The sole is white and flat. This give the boot a particularly cool aspect, but the benefit of the flat, slightly wedged sole is that it works really well on the bike, allowing you to move your feet along the pegs without a heel getting in the way. The Liberty has been treated for waterproofing, although it does not have a waterproof membrane. The benefit here is that the boot will breathe much better in hot weather; and the lack of a membrane is not a problem because, in truth, we don’t think this is the kind of boot you’d want to wear in heavy rain, anyway.
