Klim have created their own blend of merino wool and nylon that they call Teton Merino wool. Now we all know the qualities of merino. It is highly insulating and is good at storing heat within its fibres. It breathes well, and it holds large amounts of moisture without making the wearer feel wet. It is also incredibly comfortable and doesn’t smell. Without doubt it makes for the best mid layers. But mixing a percentage of synthetic fibres into the fabric makes merino a little bit more robust and helps it keep its shape when it’s washed.
