Spidi Tracker Tech Jeans In Blue

 The Tracker Tech is made from a mix of
cotton and Cordura. It is rated AA under EN17092, but this is a jean that
demonstrates the dangers of relying on safety ratings when it comes to buying
jeans, or indeed any motorcycle wear. When we tested this jean on a Cambridge
abrasion machine it recorded a slide time of just over two seconds. Yet our
AA-rated Rokker jeans delivered a slide time of over six seconds on the same
test. The problem is that the current safety stranded merely records a pass or
a fail. Both jeans pass at the AA level, but clearly the Rokker jean is much
more protective. Now this having been said, the Spidi jean is a great jean. It
comes fitted with Spidi’s own sizeable, flat armour in the knees and the hips.
But we would still suggest that this is a 60 mph jean rather than an 80 mph
jean. If you race rather than bimble, the Rokker offering may be more
appropriate. The jean itself is lovely to wear. Being Italian, it has a
relatively slim fit. One of the features we really like is the gusset in the
crotch that helps to ensure that the armour sits centrally over the knees. The
knee armour, by the way, can be removed externally through a concealed zip in
the seam.
